FlowCam Nano Flow Imaging Microscope for Submicron Particle Imaging

Manufacturer: Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies, Inc.

Description

Designed for nanoparticle analysis, the FlowCam Nano from Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies is a flow imaging microscope capable of visualizing and measuring particles at the submicron scale. It extends the lower detection limit of imaging-based analysis to 300 nanometers, with an upper range of 2 micrometers. The system employs specialized high-magnification optics and a sensitive camera to capture digital images of nanoparticles as they flow through a capillary. This visual data is used to determine particle concentration, size distribution, and morphological characteristics. The instrument is applied in fields like biopharmaceuticals for characterizing protein aggregates and virus-like particles, as well as in nanotechnology research for analyzing liposomes and other colloidal systems. It provides information that is complementary to, and often more descriptive than, data from ensemble light scattering techniques.
