Description

The TopAir Systems Inc. floor-mounted fume hood is a large-scale containment unit designed for laboratory procedures involving tall, heavy, or bulky equipment. Its main construction utilizes 8 mm thick welded polypropylene, a material chosen for its resistance to a wide array of corrosive chemicals, including strong acids, bases, and solvents. This makes it a suitable alternative to metal hoods in environments where chemical attack is a primary concern. A vertical sliding sash, fitted with 5 mm safety glass and a counterbalance mechanism, provides user access. The hood is engineered to capture and exhaust hazardous fumes via an external ventilation system, with air drawn through openings in the top and rear panels. Standard exterior dimensions offer widths from 1200 mm to 2500 mm (models FH-120-WI-PP to FH-250-WI-PP), with a uniform depth of 930 mm and height of 2320 mm. Basic operation is managed via a 7-inch color touchscreen interface for lighting and electrical outlets. The hood can be equipped with optional control systems, such as an Air Flow Alarm for monitoring face velocity or a Variable Air Volume system for automated airflow regulation. Available accessories may include internal service fixtures, sinks, and enhanced LED lighting. This product holds CE certification.
