FLIPR Penta High-Throughput Cellular Screening System
Manufacturer: Molecular Devices, LLC
SKU: FLIPR Penta
Description
Molecular Devices' FLIPR Penta is a cellular screening system engineered for high-throughput kinetic assays in fields like drug discovery. It accommodates 96-, 384-, and 1536-well microplate formats. Detection is based on fluorescence or luminescence, supported by a configurable light source with seven LED sets and a selection of optical filters to enable various assay types, including calcium flux and membrane potential studies. An available high-speed EMCCD camera option allows for rapid data capture at up to 100 measurements per second, facilitating the observation of fast transient signals in cellular models. This is useful for analyzing physiological responses in cells such as neurons or cardiomyocytes, where detecting irregular beating patterns is important. The system's software includes tools for peak analysis, and its modular design supports integration into manual or automated workflows for use with both adherent and suspension cells.
