FlexStation® 3 Microplate Reader

Description

The FlexStation® 3 is a multi-mode microplate reader capable of performing absorbance, fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarization, time-resolved fluorescence, and luminescence measurements. It accommodates standard microplates with well densities from 6 to 384. For absorbance, the wavelength range is 200 to 1000 nm; for fluorescence, the typical operational range is 250 to 850 nm. Wavelength selection is achieved via monochromators in the optical system. Beyond optical detection, the instrument includes functional features such as plate shaking and temperature control to maintain consistent assay conditions. An integrated fluidics system allows for automated reagent addition during experiments, supporting dynamic assays such as cell-based and biochemical studies. Noted applications include absorbance analysis and action potential measurements.
