Description

The FlexStation 3 is a benchtop instrument that integrates microplate reading with automated fluid handling capabilities. It supports multiple detection modes: absorbance, fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarization, time-resolved fluorescence, and luminescence. The operational wavelength range extends from 200 to 1000 nm, though the specific range depends on the selected mode. A dual-monochromator optical system provides wavelength selection without the need for physical filters. A defining feature is its integrated 8- or 16-channel pipettor, which can transfer reagents from a source plate (96- or 384-well) to the assay plate at user-defined times, enabling kinetic measurements and complex assay protocols. The reader is compatible with microplate formats ranging from 6 to 384 wells and can also be used with micro-volume plates for low-sample-volume applications.
