Description
A microvolume spectrophotometer, the FastGene NanoSpec Photometer measures the concentration and purity of nucleic acids and proteins. It requires an exceptionally small sample volume, with a minimum of just 1 µL. The instrument scans across a wide spectral range from 190 nm to 850 nm, covering both UV and visible wavelengths. Detection is handled by a 2048-pixel CMOS linear image sensor for detailed absorbance readings. It offers operational flexibility by functioning in two distinct modes: a microvolume mode for minimal sample consumption using a specialized measurement surface, and a standard cuvette mode for larger-volume samples when needed.
