Description

The Fab-Swab system is a sterile, single-use collection device intended for forensic evidence gathering. Each unit comprises a cotton-tipped applicator swab paired with a reclosable, dry transport tube. The swab tip is constructed from USP-grade cotton that is carded and coiled for consistency and is firmly attached to a semi-flexible polystyrene handle. The transport tube incorporates a patented design featuring a breathable filter label. This label covers ventilation holes to permit air exchange while blocking contaminants and inhibiting mold growth during sample storage and transportation. Each tube includes a designated area for sample identification labeling. Manufactured in the USA, the product is sterile and is commonly packaged in a case containing 500 systems, which equates to 10 boxes of 50 individually wrapped units.
