Description
This system provides a method for isolating single cells using either fluorescence or brightfield imaging criteria. It is compatible with 96- and 384-well plate formats and processes eukaryotic cells within a size range of 5 to 40 micrometers. For each dispensed cell, the instrument captures and archives full-resolution brightfield, fluorescence, and composite images, which can be used for documentation and clonality verification. An adjustable laser enables the detection of various fluorescent markers, including those with low signal intensity or low copy numbers. Optional laser configurations are available for detecting red fluorescence from markers like mCherry, RFP, or Texas Red. The dispensing process requires about five minutes for a 96-well plate and around fifteen minutes for a 384-well plate. The unit's dimensions are 600 mm wide, 400 mm deep, and 240 mm high.
