EZ-X Series Tabletop Materials Testers
Manufacturer: Shimadzu
SKU: EZ-SX / EZ-LX / EZ-LX HS
Description
The EZ-X Series consists of compact, benchtop universal testing machines for performing tensile, compression, and other mechanical tests on low-force-capacity samples. The series includes several models: a standard compact version (EZ-SX), a model with a longer stroke (EZ-LX), and a high-speed variant of the long-stroke model (EZ-LX HS). Force capacities range from 500 newtons to 2 kilonewtons depending on the specific model. Testing speeds are variable across a wide range from 0.001 to 2000 millimeters per minute, with the high-speed model capable of a return speed of 3000 mm/min. A backlash-free ball screw drive is used for precise, constant-speed strain measurement. Force measurement accuracy is specified as ±0.5% across a broad range of the load cell's capacity. Data is acquired at a rate of 1000 samples per second. The open-frame design aids in sample and fixture handling, and operation is managed through TRAPEZIUM X software, which provides method wizards and data analysis tools. Typical applications include testing food products, pharmaceuticals, plastics, rubbers, and small electronic components.
