Excimer Laser Antireflection Coatings

Manufacturer: Princeton Instruments

SKU: Inquire

Description

These are specialized antireflection (AR) coatings engineered for optical components used with high-energy excimer lasers operating in the ultraviolet spectrum. Manufactured using durable electron-beam deposition techniques, the dielectric coatings are designed to minimize surface reflections, thereby maximizing light transmission through elements like lenses and windows. A key application is reducing unwanted second-surface reflections in beamsplitters. The coatings feature low absorption and are optimized for high laser damage thresholds, making them robust for demanding UV laser environments. They are available for standard excimer laser wavelengths, including 157 nm, 193 nm, 248 nm, 308 nm, and 353 nm. The coating service can be applied to customer-supplied substrates or to optical components provided by Princeton Instruments. For comparison, an uncoated fused silica surface reflects approximately 4.8% of light at 193 nm and 4.1% at 248 nm.
