EVOS™ M3000 Imaging System

Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific's EVOS M3000 is a compact, benchtop imaging system intended for routine cell observation and documentation in research and cell culture environments. The instrument supports several imaging modalities, including fluorescence, brightfield, color brightfield, and phase contrast. Illumination is provided by LED light cubes with adjustable intensity, each with a rated operational life exceeding 50,000 hours. The optical path is infinity-corrected, and the system accepts standard RMS-threaded objectives with a 45 mm parfocal distance, enabling a magnification range from 1.25X to 60X. Integrated software provides tools for basic image capture and includes features for real-time automated analysis, such as calculating cell confluency. User interaction is primarily through a touchscreen interface designed for straightforward operation. Its relatively small footprint allows placement on a standard laboratory bench or inside a cell culture hood. The system includes network connectivity for data transfer and management purposes.
