Description

Glas-Col's Evaporator System is a modular platform for concentrating liquid samples in microplate formats. Different models accommodate plates with 8, 12, 24, 96, 201, 384, or other well counts, as indicated by the extensive SKU list. A central needle valve allows precise regulation of the total gas flow, which is then evenly distributed to each well via an equalizer manifold and individual stainless steel needles. This design ensures consistent evaporation rates across all sample positions. The height-adjustable needle assembly accommodates various plate types and well depths. The system uses nitrogen or other inert gases to gently remove solvents, with an optional heating function that can raise the sample block temperature to 100°C for faster processing. With a flow rate adjustable from 1 to 100 mL per needle and compact dimensions of approximately 7 x 5.5 x 7.5 inches, it is used for sample preparation in chromatography, biotechnology, environmental analysis, and genomic research.
