Epsilon 4 XRF Spectrometer for Elemental Analysis

Manufacturer: Malvern Panalytical

SKU: Epsilon 4

4.0 (1)

Description

The Epsilon 4 is an energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer capable of analyzing elements from fluorine (F) to americium (Am). Instrument performance is driven by a high-resolution silicon drift detector (SDD) and a metal-ceramic X-ray tube with a silver anode. A thin beryllium window on the tube enhances sensitivity for light elements, particularly phosphorus, sulfur, and chlorine. Designed for versatility in R&D, quality assurance, and process control, the Epsilon 4 is offered in multiple editions configured for specific industrial standards. These include packages for mining and mineralogy, oils and fuels analysis meeting EPA TIER 3 and ISO 13032, lubricant testing per ASTM D7751-15, and pharmaceutical/cosmetics analysis supporting ICH Q3D and USP guidelines. Further editions are available for food and environmental testing (EPA IO-3.3, ISO 18227), building materials (ASTM C114-15), and polymer/plastics/paints analysis for additives, toxic elements, and RoHS compliance.
