Description

The Eppendorf Xplorer series comprises electronic air-displacement pipettes designed to replace manual pipetting for improved precision and workflow efficiency. These instruments are offered in both single-channel and multi-channel formats, with multi-channel options including 8-, 12-, 16-, and 24-channel variants. They accommodate a wide volume spectrum from 0.5 µL to 10 mL. Operation is centered on an ergonomic multi-function rocker switch that controls aspiration and dispensing, complemented by a selection dial for accessing various pipetting modes. A color display provides clear, menu-driven feedback. For volumes up to 1 mL, a spring-loaded tip cone facilitates easier tip handling. The pipette body features an autoclavable lower section for decontamination. Power is supplied by a rechargeable battery offering roughly eight hours of operation, with the capability for simultaneous use and charging. The interface supports nine languages. The enhanced Xplorer plus model adds functionality such as programmable user settings, fixed volume modes, password security, a physical power switch, additional application modes, and service reminders.
