Description
This variant of the Eppendorf Vacufuge plus is a complete system featuring an integrated PTFE diaphragm vacuum pump. It is supplied without a rotor. A distinctive feature is an additional vacuum junction port, which allows the internal pump to supply vacuum to an external piece of equipment, such as a gel dryer, while the concentrator is in use or idle. The concentrator unit itself has a maximum speed of 1400 rpm (approximately 250 x g) and is non-refrigerated. When equipped with the appropriate rotors, it can process up to 96 tubes of 1.5 mL, 8 tubes of 15 mL, or 2 plates. This configuration is suited for laboratories that require a vacuum concentrator with the added flexibility of serving as a vacuum source for other applications.
