Description

An electronic micromanipulation system, the Eppendorf TransferMan 4m provides precise, stable control of microtools for procedures performed under a microscope. Its typical applications include intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and the isolation of individual cells for techniques like biopsy or tissue sampling. The device offers a total mechanical travel distance of at least 20 millimeters and can achieve movement speeds up to 10,000 micrometers per second. Control is facilitated by a DualSpeed joystick, which enables the user to toggle between rapid coarse positioning and fine, delicate adjustments. Engineered for minimal latency and direct motion feedback, the system aims to provide a responsive operational feel. It includes safety features such as a programmable limit for the Z-axis to help prevent accidental damage to fine capillaries.
