Description

The Model 5418 is a compact microcentrifuge with a footprint comparable to a standard sheet of paper. It can hold up to 18 tubes of 1.5 ml or 2.0 ml capacity using its supplied aerosol-tight rotor. The unit provides a speed range from 100 to 14,000 rpm, achieving a maximum relative centrifugal force (RCF) of 16,873 x g. It is a non-refrigerated model. Design elements prioritize user convenience and a quiet operation. The rotor lid uses a quick-lock mechanism for secure sealing, while the main centrifuge lid features a soft-touch, one-finger closure.
