Description

The epMotion 5075 TMX integrates automated liquid handling with a dedicated ThermoMixer (TMX) module for temperature control and shaking. This combination enables fully automated protocols that seamlessly incorporate mixing, heating, cooling, and pipetting steps. The system's integrated gripper can load and unload labware from the TMX module. The mixer utilizes Eppendorf's 2DMix-Control technology, employing orbital shaking to achieve homogeneous mixing, which can effectively resuspend pellets or beads without the need for centrifugation. The software allows pipetting operations to proceed at other deck positions while the TMX module is active. The platform supports single and multi-channel pipetting tools for volumes from 1 to 1000 µL, depending on the specific tool installed. It includes a pre-configured labware database and ready-to-use Plug'n'Prep application protocols for common tasks like nucleic acid purification. An optical sensor verifies the complete deck setup before a run begins.
