EM27 Open Path FTIR Spectrometer
Manufacturer: Bruker Optics
SKU: BOPT EM27
Description
Bruker Optics' EM27 is an open-path Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer configured for remote atmospheric monitoring. Its operational spectral range varies by mode: 700 to 5000 cm⁻¹ in standard active mode, 700 to 3800 cm⁻¹ in active mode with ultrafast scanning, and 700 to 2200 cm⁻¹ in passive mode. The instrument provides a spectral resolution of 1 cm⁻¹, with an optional 0.5 cm⁻¹ setting available. Its optical configuration uses a KBr beam splitter, with ZnSe available as an option. Designed for field deployment, the EM27 is built to endure mechanical stress, vibration, and extreme temperature variations. It can perform rapid measurements, with acquisition times under one second. The spectrometer functions in two primary configurations: passive mode, which detects natural infrared emissions from target compounds, and active mode, which utilizes an external infrared source for enhanced sensitivity, particularly useful for detecting trace atmospheric gases and pollutants.
