Echo 650 Series Acoustic Liquid Handlers

Manufacturer: Beckman Coulter Life Sciences

SKU: Echo 650

Description

The Echo 650 Series from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences comprises acoustic liquid handlers capable of transferring minute liquid volumes without physical contact. Utilizing sound energy, these systems can dispense droplets as small as 2.5 nanoliters, with a transfer range extending up to 5 microliters. This high precision facilitates assay miniaturization, helping to conserve precious samples and reagents. The platform offers full transfer flexibility, allowing any volume to be moved from any source well to any destination well within supported microplate formats, which include 384-well and 1536-well plates. Specific models, such as the Echo 655T, can also interface with specialized acoustic sample tubes, enabling a completely non-contact workflow from storage to assay plate. For automated laboratory environments, the instruments can be integrated into larger robotic systems. A standard Echo 650 unit measures 53.9 cm wide, 68.3 cm deep, and 92.5 cm tall. It is designed to operate on either a 120V AC, 50/60 Hz, 10 Amp circuit or a 230V AC, 50/60 Hz, 5 Amp circuit.
