DynaPro™ NanoStar™ II Dynamic Light Scattering Instrument
Manufacturer: Waters | Wyatt Technology
SKU: DynaPro NanoStar II
Description
The DynaPro NanoStar II is a compact instrument for analyzing the size and molecular weight of particles in solution using dynamic and static light scattering. It is engineered for ease of use, featuring an integrated touchscreen interface that guides users through measurement workflows. This instrument determines hydrodynamic radius, polydispersity, and aggregation state via DLS, while SLS provides molecular weight data. Its measurement range covers particles from 0.2 nanometers to 1 micron in diameter and molecular weights from 300 Daltons to 1 MDa. A significant advantage is the minimal sample consumption; analyses can be performed with as little as 2 microliters of solution. Sensitivity is sufficient to detect proteins at concentrations down to 0.1 mg/mL for a standard like lysozyme. The system is suited for the routine characterization of proteins, viruses, liposomes, and other nanoparticles, providing data on stability and solution behavior.
