Description

The DXR3xi is a confocal Raman microscope system designed for chemical imaging and detailed structural analysis. It allows researchers to rapidly survey sample regions and acquire high-quality chemical images for applications in pharmaceuticals, polymer science, microplastics research, geology, and materials science. Software enhancements are focused on accelerating data visualization. Advanced particle analysis tools aid in the identification and quantification of microplastics within environmental or consumer product samples. Three-dimensional visualization software provides immediate graphical feedback. An automatic x-axis calibration function helps minimize spectral drift and improve data reliability. The system is built for ease of use across different skill levels. Real-time optimization of imaging parameters on-screen speeds up the process of visualizing data. The overall workflow is structured to maximize throughput for demanding applications. Tool-free automatic alignment and calibration procedures are standard. The configuration can be adapted within seconds by swapping pre-aligned components such as lasers, filters, and gratings, all without tools. Data analysis and spectral interpretation are managed through the OMNIC™xi Software suite. Sophisticated autofocus and morphological analysis capabilities enable tracking across samples with uneven topography. The microscope is certified as a class-1 laser-safe instrument, with the laser beam physically blocked from the visual viewing path. Please note that certain optional accessories, like fiber optic probes, are classified as class 3b laser devices and require appropriate safety measures. The instrument offers selectable spectral resolutions: 5.0 cm⁻¹ full width at half maximum (FWHM) using a full-range grating, 2 cm⁻¹ FWHM with a high-resolution grating, and 11 cm⁻¹ FWHM with an extended-range grating.
