DuraPulse™ Stent/Graft Test Instrument

Description

The DuraPulse Stent/Graft Test Instrument from TA Instruments is designed for fatigue and durability evaluation of vascular stents and grafts. It employs high-bandwidth ElectroForce actuator technology to produce closed-loop, symmetric dual-sided pulsatile motion, enabling testing at high strain and frequency combinations. A modular manifold design allows for the interchange of tube sets to accommodate different device geometries, supporting diameters from 2 mm to 50 mm. Mock vessel configurations are available for 12, 8, 6, or 4 (bifurcated) samples. Strain measurement is facilitated by an optical micrometer positioning slide, 360-degree manifold rotation, and a tube scanning function. The system supports multiple strain calculation modes, including Zero Strain and Zero Stress conditions as referenced in the ISO 25539-2 standard. An optional Pressure Control Accessory (PCA) allows for automated pressure management. System status is indicated via LED lights, and the actuator carries a 10-year warranty. The instrument is designed to meet requirements of standards such as ISO 25539-2 and ASTM F2477.
