Engineered by TA Instruments, the DuraPulse Heart Valve Test Instrument performs accelerated durability testing on prosthetic heart valves. The system utilizes proprietary ElectroForce linear motor technology to generate smooth, precise pressure waveforms. A key operational feature is the PeakIQ control algorithm, which is designed to mitigate high-pressure spikes during valve closure events. Testing is conducted within independent, modular chambers, allowing each valve station to be controlled autonomously for consistent test conditions. The instrument is configurable with 2, 4, or 6 test stations and is designed to support testing per the ISO 5840 standard for cardiovascular implants. It also aims to simplify the transfer of a tested valve to a pulse duplicator system. The linear motor actuators are covered by a 10-year warranty.
