Description

TopAir Systems manufactures a ductless fume hood constructed from 8 mm welded polypropylene for durability and chemical resistance. This self-contained unit protects laboratory personnel from exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulates without requiring connection to external exhaust ductwork. A Variable Air Volume (VAV) system maintains a consistent face velocity of 0.5 ± 0.1 m/s (100 ± 20 fpm), with speed adjustments made automatically. System status and airflow are displayed on a 10.1-inch color touchscreen interface. An integrated VOC sensor monitors the filter media and triggers an alarm if chemical breakthrough is detected. Standard equipment includes an 800 lux LED light, a counterweighted safety glass sash, a quiet ECM fan, and a chamber status light. Filters, including HEPA, carbon, and pre-filters, are accessible from the front for maintenance. The hood is available in multiple working widths: 23.62, 35.4, 47.24, 59, and 70.8 inches, corresponding to model numbers CF-060-PP through CF-180-PP. Work surface options include a sealed polypropylene top, with epoxy or stainless steel as alternatives. The unit complies with EN-14175 and ASHRAE 110-1995 performance standards.
