Description

Designed for traditional cuvette-based measurements, the DS-C from DeNovix Inc. is a single-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometer. It operates independently without a connected computer for basic functions. The optical system employs a pulsed xenon flash lamp as its light source and a 2048-element CCD detector to measure absorbance across a spectral range of 190 to 840 nm, achieving a resolution of 1.5 nm. User interaction is streamlined through pre-configured software modules, known as EasyApps™, which are tailored for specific assay protocols such as nucleic acid analysis. For dsDNA, the instrument is noted for a broad dynamic range of 0.04 to 75 ng/µL. Its maintenance-free design eliminates the need for regular recalibration procedures. Data can be exported via USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet connections for further analysis or record-keeping.
