DRIERITE® Desiccants

Manufacturer: W A Hammond Drierite Co Ltd

SKU: Drierite Desiccants

Description

DRIERITE® Desiccants are drying agents composed of granular calcium sulfate, a material processed from gypsum. They are available in two primary varieties: indicating types, which change color to signal moisture absorption, and non-indicating forms. These products are engineered to eliminate water vapor from diverse environments, including enclosed air spaces, gas streams, refrigerants, and various organic liquids and solids. A common laboratory use is within desiccators, storage containers, and protective packaging, where they maintain an extremely dry atmosphere with a frost point as low as -77°C (-107°F). This level of dryness is vital for preventing moisture-related damage such as corrosion, oxidation, mold growth, or caking in sensitive chemicals, electronics, and other materials. Produced by W A Hammond Drierite Co Ltd in the United States, these desiccants are supplied in quantities ranging from one pound to fifty pounds to suit different scale requirements.
