Downflow Unit

Description

TopAir Systems Inc. manufactures the Downflow Unit, a ductless fume cabinet engineered for operator safety. It serves as a contained workstation where hazardous airborne particulates, vapors, or powders are captured at the source. The open-front design maintains visibility and accessibility while a downward airflow pulls contaminants through a perforated stainless steel work surface. Air is then passed through a filtration system, often including HEPA and activated carbon stages, before being recirculated as clean air into the lab. The main cabinet body is fabricated from welded, chemical-resistant polypropylene. Standard features include a 24-watt LED light, an electronically commutated (EC) fan with adjustable speed, a digital control interface, and a filter blockage alarm. The unit is offered in multiple widths, including 60 cm (DF-60), 90 cm (DF-90), and 120 cm (DF-120) models, operating on a 115/230V, 50/60 Hz single-phase power supply.
