Description

The Distek Model 2500 RTD is a dissolution testing instrument that offers both manual and automated operation. It is engineered to perform tests according to several pharmacopeial standards, including USP Apparatus 1, 2, 5, and 6, as well as intrinsic dissolution methods. A distinctive technical feature is its use of patented wireless temperature sensors embedded within the drive shafts, which provide continuous, real-time monitoring of the temperature inside each vessel, removing the necessity for separate manual checks. The system can be set up with a maximum of eight vessels, and vessel volumes from 100 mL to 2 liters are achievable with an optional conversion kit. Temperature regulation is handled by an integrated, self-priming circulator and heater system, which has a low-profile design allowing it to be stored behind the main bath assembly. Operation is managed via a color touchscreen interface that stores testing methods, user profiles, and generates reports.
