DiaSpect Tm: Hand-held hemoglobin analyzer

EKF Diagnostics' DiaSpect Tm is a portable, hand-held device for the rapid quantification of hemoglobin in whole blood. The analyzer delivers a result in approximately one second using a very small sample volume of under 10 microliters, which is applied to a single-use, reagent-free microcuvette. Its measurement range extends from 0 to 25.5 g/dL. Designed for portability, the instrument measures 90 x 150 x 40 mm and is powered by an internal rechargeable battery capable of supporting up to 10,000 tests. This makes it suitable for point-of-care testing in clinics, field studies, or remote locations. The device includes features such as a quality control reminder and can interface with data management systems via Bluetooth using EKF Link software. The disposable microcuvettes used with the analyzer have a shelf life of 30 months.
