Description

The Thermo Scientific DFS is a high-resolution mass spectrometry system that combines gas chromatography with a double-focusing magnetic sector mass analyzer. This GC-HRMS configuration provides high-precision mass measurement. The instrument achieves a resolution greater than 60,000 and has a mass range from 2 to 6000 m/z. It supports multiple ionization techniques, including electron impact (EI), chemical ionization (CI), and field desorption/field ionization (FD/FI). This analytical flexibility makes the system suitable for demanding applications that require exact mass data and high specificity, such as the quantification of persistent organic pollutants (POPs), dioxins, and other targeted compounds in environmental, food safety, and research laboratories.
