CytoFLEX S Flow Cytometer

Description

The CytoFLEX S Flow Cytometer is a flexible model from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences that offers several predefined optical configurations. It is available in four distinct series: Violet-Blue-Yellow Green-Red (V-B-Y-R), Near UV-Violet-Blue-Red (N-V-B-R), Near UV-Violet-Blue-Yellow Green (N-V-B-Y), and Violet-Blue-Red-IR (V-B-R-I). Each configuration supports measurement across up to 13 fluorescence channels, and systems can be initially activated with as few as four parameters, with the option to enable additional channels later via upgrade. The instrument maintains sensitivity for particles as small as 80 nm and offers an adjustable sample flow rate from 10 to 240 µL/min. It is compatible with 96-well microplates, and an automated plate loader is available as an optional accessory. Operation and analysis are conducted using the CytExpert software, which includes features for environments requiring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Shared design elements with the broader CytoFLEX family include a vibration-damped optical table for stability and a low-pressure fluidic system intended to simplify user maintenance. An API is provided for integration with external laboratory automation software.
