Description

The CytoFLEX mosaic is a spectral detection accessory module designed to upgrade compatible CytoFLEX LX and S flow cytometers. This add-on enables these analyzers to perform spectral flow cytometry, allowing users to switch between conventional and spectral analysis on the same instrument. The module has dimensions of 34.6 cm in width, 42.5 cm in depth, and 53.5 cm in height. It captures fluorescence data across 88 individual channels and can process samples at a throughput of up to 30,000 events per second. Operation is conducted through CytExpert Spectral software, which extends the standard CytExpert interface and provides a direct connection to the Cytobank platform for advanced computational analysis. A proprietary algorithm is used for spectral unmixing to resolve complex fluorescence signatures. The system includes functionality for verifying unmixing accuracy and running appropriate controls to support reliable experimental design. This modular approach offers laboratories a pathway to adopt spectral cytometry capabilities without requiring a completely new instrument.
