Description

The CytoFLEX LX Flow Cytometer represents an expanded configuration within the CytoFLEX series from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, intended for sophisticated multicolor applications. This system can be configured with up to six lasers, enabling measurement across 21 fluorescence parameters. The optical design spatially separates these lasers to help minimize spectral overlap and cross-talk in complex staining panels. It is compatible with standard 5 mL (12 x 75 mm) sample tubes and functions with a flow rate adjustable from 10 to 240 µL/min, operating on 100-240 V power. Instruments are available in various laser series configurations (e.g., UV-Violet-Blue-Yellow Green-Red-IR) and can be purchased with a subset of active channels; additional detection parameters can be unlocked later via software activation keys. Operation is managed through the CytExpert software platform. Similar to other models in the line, it features a stabilized optical table and user-serviceable components to simplify upkeep. Integration into automated workflows is supported by an optional plate loader and an API for connecting to systems like the Biomek i-Series. The software also provides features to support compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
