An optimized rotor and chamber design generates an air stream that transports the ground material through a built-in cyclone into a 250 ml collection bottle. This airflow aids in cooling the sample, helping to preserve its inherent moisture content. The unit includes interchangeable sieves to produce a consistent, defined particle size, which is crucial for maintaining the calibration of NIR spectrometers. Rotor speed is adjustable across three settings to accommodate different sample types. The air-jet design also facilitates thorough sample discharge from the grinding chamber, simplifying cleaning and reducing cross-contamination between samples. The mill measures 449 mm wide, 427 mm high, and 283 mm deep and is operated via a straightforward control panel. Its primary function is to deliver reproducible sample preparation for reliable subsequent NIR analysis.
