Description
Verder Scientific's CW-800 analyzer performs simultaneous measurement of carbon dioxide and water content in solid materials. The instrument operates on a combustion principle, where samples are oxidized in a resistance furnace. This furnace can be heated to a maximum of 1000 °C, with temperature control adjustable in 1 °C increments. A stream of nitrogen carries the evolved gases to the detection system, which consists of two separate infrared detectors. This dual-detector arrangement provides sensitivity starting from parts-per-million levels up to 100 percent concentration, dependent on the sample mass. While its primary application is for quality control in industries such as cement, lime, and gypsum production, the analyzer is also suitable for testing ores, soils, and various mineral samples.
