Manufacturer: Rigaku Corporation
SKU: CT Lab HX
Description
The CT Lab HX from Rigaku Corporation is a benchtop micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) scanner that combines high spatial resolution with a substantial scanning volume. The system's main cabinet has compact dimensions of approximately 980 mm wide by 700 mm deep by 580 mm high, not including the separate control computer. Its core components are a 130 kV, 39 W microfocus X-ray source and a flat-panel digital detector with a pixel pitch of 49.5 microns. A key design feature is the adjustable scanner geometry, where both the source-to-sample and source-to-detector distances can be varied. This allows the operator to tailor the setup, prioritizing either very high resolution or a larger field of view to accommodate bigger objects. In its highest resolution configuration, the system can achieve a volumetric pixel (voxel) size as small as 2.1 microns. For larger samples, it provides a standard field of view up to 200 mm in diameter, which can be effectively expanded using an offset scanning technique. The sample chamber can hold objects up to 200 mm in diameter and 270 mm in height. Adjustable X-ray voltage and current settings, along with selectable filters, permit optimization of the X-ray spectrum for different materials and densities. The minimum scan time for a full dataset is 18 seconds.
