Description
Rigaku Corporation's CT Lab HV is an industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanner built for the non-destructive internal inspection of large, dense objects. It features a sizable shielded enclosure with a wide access door, capable of accommodating samples with maximum dimensions of 600 mm in diameter and 1200 mm in height. The system is centered on a 225 kV microfocus X-ray source and provides adjustable geometry, allowing the user to modify both the distance from the X-ray source to the object and from the source to the detector. This flexibility enables the optimization of magnification and scan parameters for objects of varying size and material density. The maximum field of view available for analysis is 350 mm in diameter. When configured for high-resolution imaging, the scanner can achieve a true spatial resolution of 3 microns. These capabilities make it applicable for detailed volumetric analysis of a diverse range of industrial components and materials. Typical applications include the inspection of batteries, electronic assemblies, 3D-printed parts, polymer and plastic components, metal castings and parts, and medical devices. The system generates comprehensive 3D volumetric data, supporting tasks such as quality control, defect analysis, failure investigation, and reverse engineering without causing any damage to the sample.
