Description
The CryoMill, produced by Verder Scientific, is a laboratory ball mill designed for cryogenic grinding. It operates on the principles of impact and friction to process diverse sample types, including hard, brittle, elastic, soft, medium-hard, or fibrous materials. A defining feature is its integrated cooling system, which automatically maintains the grinding jar at cryogenic temperatures (approximately -196°C) using liquid nitrogen. This embrittles samples and helps preserve volatile components.
