Description

This wet transfer apparatus is designed for electrophoretic protein blotting in Western blot procedures. It utilizes plate electrodes to generate a consistent electric field across the transfer surface, aiming for uniform protein migration from gel to membrane. The system can process two Criterion-format gels or up to four Mini-PROTEAN gels in a single run. The standard package includes components for assembly: two gel holder cassettes, absorbent filter paper, four foam pads, and a dedicated tray for constructing the gel-blot sandwich. The complete setup is then submerged in transfer buffer within the tank for operation. This configuration is intended for standard wet transfer protocols in molecular biology laboratories.
