Description

The Countess 3 Automated Cell Counter from Thermo Fisher Scientific is a benchtop instrument designed for rapid cell concentration and viability assessment. It automates the imaging and analysis process using integrated optics and machine-learning algorithms. The system analyzes a 10 µL sample, providing data on total cell count, live and dead cell counts, viability percentage, and average cell diameter. Throughput is approximately two samples per minute. User interaction is managed through a flush-mounted capacitive touchscreen interface. The instrument is designed to operate without the need for routine cleaning or manual calibration. Data can be exported via a connected USB drive or to cloud storage services. With compact dimensions of 9 x 5.5 x 9 inches (228.6 x 139.7 x 228.6 mm), it requires minimal bench space.
