Description

These specialized microplates are engineered for three-dimensional cell culture, facilitating the formation and maintenance of spheroids and organoids. The wells feature an Ultra-Low Attachment (ULA) surface, created from a covalently bound hydrogel that actively resists cell and protein adhesion. This property encourages suspended cells to aggregate and self-assemble into complex 3D structures, providing a more physiologically relevant model than traditional two-dimensional monolayers. Available in standard formats like 96-well plates, they often have clear bottoms for microscopic imaging and are compatible with automated liquid handlers.
