The Corning Elplasia microplate is engineered for the generation of three-dimensional cell cultures without scaffolds. Its 96-well format features square wells with a black body and clear bottom, facilitating both spheroid formation and subsequent imaging. A key attribute is the plasma-treated surface within each microcavity, which promotes cell aggregation and supports consistent, self-assembled spheroid formation. This design eliminates the requirement for specialized protocols or extracellular matrices.
