The Corning Elplasia 24-well plate is a microcavity plate designed for generating and culturing scaffold-free spheroids. Its ultra-low attachment surface is created by a covalently bound hydrogel that inhibits cell adherence, promoting the formation of three-dimensional aggregates. The round-bottom well geometry assists in centralizing spheroids. The plate has a black wall and clear bottom, which is suitable for imaging applications and absorbance-based assays. The format is 24 wells per plate, and a lid is included to help maintain sterility and reduce evaporation during incubation.
