The Corning CoolRack XT-M-PCR is a benchtop cooling device engineered for temperature-sensitive laboratory procedures. It provides a stable, cold work surface capable of simultaneously holding 12 standard 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL microcentrifuge tubes and six individual strip wells. This hybrid configuration offers flexibility for various protocols, including PCR setup and other molecular biology applications where maintaining low temperatures is critical. The unit operates using a sealed phase-change material within its solid aluminum alloy block. This material is preconditioned by freezing, transforming the rack into a portable cooling platform that requires no external power or ice.
