Corning® Cell Counter

Manufacturer: Corning Life Sciences

Description

The Corning Cell Counter is an automated bench-top instrument for determining cell concentration and viability. It operates using a dual-method principle that combines brightfield imaging with trypan blue exclusion staining to differentiate between viable and non-viable cells. The device is capable of analyzing a sample in under three seconds. It can count cells within a size range of 4 to 70 micrometers, accommodating a variety of common mammalian cell lines. Operation involves pipetting a small sample volume into a single-use counting slide. The instrument then provides data for total cell count, viable cell count, and the calculated percentage viability, supporting standardized procedures in cell culture laboratories.
