The rounded well contour helps concentrate cells into a central location, aiding the reliable production of one spheroid per well. The ultra-low attachment characteristic is imparted by a hydrogel coating that is covalently bonded to the polystyrene. This hydrophilic layer minimizes interactions that lead to cell attachment, thereby supporting the development and maintenance of 3D cellular structures in suspension. The plate is provided sterile and includes a lid.
