Designed for high-throughput spheroid assays, this microplate features a 1536-well format. It has a black plastic body and clear, round-bottom wells. The round-bottom geometry assists in guiding cells to congregate at the well center, promoting the consistent formation of a single spheroid per well. A key feature is the ultra-low attachment surface, created by a covalently attached hydrogel coating. This coating inhibits cell and protein binding, enabling cells to freely associate and form three-dimensional aggregates in suspension. The high-density format allows for significant miniaturization of assays, conserving precious cellular samples and screening reagents. The plate is provided sterile with a lid and is designed to be compatible with automated liquid handlers and microplate readers for streamlined, high-content screening workflows.
