Containment Hoods Series

Description

Airfiltronix, a division of Glas-Col, LLC, manufactures the Containment Hoods Series, a line of portable, self-contained workstations for laboratory use. These units are engineered to fully enclose materials and processes, thereby containing airborne particulates and vapors and preventing their release into the lab atmosphere. A significant operational advantage is their portability and lack of requirement for external ducting or venting connections. The series includes several models, such as the G-24, G-30, G-36, G-46, G-50, and SL-30, which vary in size and depth to accommodate different workspace needs. An integrated blower system provides adjustable airflow, capable of reaching face velocities up to 530 cubic feet per minute (CFM). The hood's front panel is sloped to enhance visibility and user access to the interior. Filtration is handled by user-selectable filters, sold separately, which can be chosen to target specific contaminants or combined for multi-substance applications. The manufacturer notes that custom configurations are available upon request.
