Description

The PCE-CSM 3 colorimeter incorporates a camera viewfinder to assist with accurate placement of the measurement aperture on a sample. This feature aids in targeting specific areas for quality control inspections. The device measures color coordinates within the ranges L: 0 to 100 and a, b: -128 to 127, with a resolution of 0.01. It operates in the CIE L*a*b*C*h and CIE L*a*b* color spaces. Users can set a reference color and then take sample measurements, with the instrument displaying the coordinate data and the calculated color difference (ΔE). Internal memory allows for the storage of 100 reference values and up to 20,000 sample readings. Measured data can be transferred to a computer via the USB interface, and dedicated PC software is included. The instrument is specified for operation within a temperature range of 32 to 104°F.
